Ger and I are leaving the Thompson bell on the 21st of February after 7 and 1/2 years. The pub is going under refurbishment on the 23rd of February it is due to be closed for 4 to 6 weeks it will reopen under New Management. Very warm welcome from the landlord and landlady of this traditional British pub. Highly recommend it for a visit..

They always do me a lovely gluten free dinner

Nice pub on the way into Walmer. No food Monday to Thursdays but the friendly landlord said we could get sandwiches from the cafe next door and eat them in the bar. It's in the Camra Kent guide from 1979 so good to see it's still going.

You always get a lovely greeting here and are well looked after. Great atmosphere, doesn't matter if you just pop in "for one" or are there for the night you wil be welcome. Great hosts, thanks Anne and Ger.

Had a great Sunday lunch in this place. Very reasonably priced and nice friendly staff. Only problem is, finding parking near the place. But it's well worth a short walk if you can't..I'll be back..

Parking can be a problem. But the food is good and the the staff is friendly..In those immortal words of Arnold Schwarzenegger "I'll be back"

Really good pub very friendly the staff are really nice and accomodating definitely a family friendly pub. Good events all the time it's something new you feel like part of the family when you come to this pub because they are very welcoming. My local and I love it here.

Went on a Saturday night, there was a live band and a birthday party going on. Busy and friendly, everyone had a great time.
